Clara Miller, Birth & Postpartum Doula

Hi, I'm Clara, a certified birth and postpartum doula practicing in Santa Cruz County on unceded Amah Mutsun land.

I work with clients, meeting you exactly where you are, to honor the birthing and mothering portal. I love nothing more than watching new and expanding mamas step into their power, connect with their intuition, and learn to deeply trust themselves.

When we shine a light on the strength and raw beauty inherent in the process of physiologic birth, and when we honor the inner power of mamas, we foster individuals and communities that are honest, gentle, radical, and resilient. Communities that can change the world.

Our work together may include movement, affirmations/meditation practices, meal preparation, herbal suggestions, and partner empowerment.

Clara was wonderful for our unexpected preemie birth. She arrived right away, and helped me through a very fast-and-furious labor. I really liked that she listened to me, helped me through every contraction, kept me calm and focused, and encouraged me to advocate for myself with the hospital staff. My son's birth was smooth, and I loved how she got my husband involved with the birth as well. She was a centering presence, and if I were to have more children, I would definitely hire her again.
