Birthing and mothering ask so much of the body. The intensity of labor, the new rhythms of nursing, and the constant closeness of holding your little one day and night can leave you feeling stiff, achy, or simply out of alignment. I encourage you to seek support from a trusted bodyworker, yoga instructor, or physical therapist who can help you unwind and restore balance in your body — and your baby’s — unique patterning.
In addition incorporate this 15-minute postpartum yoga and movement ritual designed to gently support the areas that often feel tight, weak, or just “off” after birth and 6 weeks of mothering. More than a series of exercises, this is an invitation to come home to your body — to notice and honor what is present for you in every moment. I truly believe our physical body is the doorway to healing on every level: physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Make yourself a cup of tea, throw on some cozy clothes, and take a deep breath.
