Healing Postpartum Turmeric Latte

Anti-inflammatory and delicious. For when you want a coffee but also desperately need a nap.

This is one of my go-to's for new mamas in my care as a postpartum doula. And probably my most often requested drink (tied for first place with CCF tea... stay tuned for that recipe).


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk of choice

  • 1tsp powdered turmeric

  • pinch of powdered ginger

  • 1/2 tsp powdered cardamom

  • 1/2 tsp powdered cinnamon

  • 1/2 tbsp black sesame seeds 

  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup 


Instructions:

  • Add all ingredients except maple syrup to a small saucepan and whisk to combine

  • Bring to a boil, remove from heat and whisk until frothy 

  • Add maple syrup, mix again, and serve warm!
